Richard Marlow

Richard Marlow

Richard Marlow (1939–2013) was a distinguished English choral conductor and organist, known for his work with the Choir of Trinity College, Cambridge, where he served as Director of Music from 1968 until his retirement in 2006. Under his leadership, the choir gained international recognition for its performances and recordings of both early and contemporary choral music. Marlow's expertise in the choral repertoire was extensive, and he was particularly noted for his interpretations of Renaissance music as well as the works of English composers. He made numerous recordings with the choir, which included a wide range of sacred and secular works. Marlow also contributed to the field of music education, nurturing the talents of many young singers and musicians during his tenure at Trinity College. His legacy is preserved in the numerous recordings he made and in the high standards he set for choral singing within the collegiate system at Cambridge and beyond.
