Ralf Sauerbrey

Operatic bass-baritone. Studied Freie Universität Berlin, vocal training Italy. Has worked with Carlo Bergonzi, Sherrill Milnes, Hans Hotter and Kurt Rydl. First prize in Taranto Singing Competition (2001). Roles include Don Giovanni, Pizarro, Belcore, Amonasro, Nabucco, Falstaff, Scarpia, Gianni Schicchi, Escamillo, title role in Krenek's "Diktator". Has appeared at Prague State Opera, Teatro Reggio Emilia, opera houses in Forli, Palma de Mallorca, Schwerin, Dessau and Odessa. Concert repertoire includes Requiems of Mozart, Verdi and Fauré, Brahms's Deutsches Requiem, Zemlinsky's Lyric Symphony. Has taught at Berlin's Hochschule für Musik „Hanns Eisler“, currently on faculty of Barenboim-Said Akademie.
