Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos was a distinguished Spanish conductor and composer, renowned for his dynamic interpretations and broad repertoire. Born in Burgos, Spain, on September 15, 1933, he studied violin, piano, music theory, and composition at the Conservatories of Bilbao and Madrid, and later conducting at the Munich Hochschule für Musik. Throughout his illustrious career, Frühbeck de Burgos served as the chief conductor of numerous prestigious orchestras including the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the Spanish National Orchestra, the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, and the Vienna Symphony.
