The Radio-Sinfonie-Orchester Frankfurt, now known as the Frankfurt Radio Symphony, is one of Germany's leading symphony orchestras with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1929. It was established as part of the broadcaster Hessischer Rundfunk and has since developed a reputation for its interpretations of the classical and romantic repertoires, as well as for its performances of contemporary music. Over the years, the orchestra has worked with many distinguished conductors, including Dean Dixon, Eliahu Inbal, Dmitri Kitayenko, and Paavo Järvi.
