Radical Face is the musical project of Ben Cooper, an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Jacksonville, Florida. Cooper, who began his career in various other bands, embarked on his solo project with the release of "Ghost" in 2007, an album that was well-received for its storytelling and folk-driven sound. Radical Face gained wider recognition with the ambitious "The Family Tree" series, which includes "The Family Tree: The Roots" (2011), "The Family Tree: The Branches" (2013), and "The Family Tree: The Leaves" (2016). These concept albums explore intricate narratives revolving around a fictional family, spanning over a century and are noted for their emotional depth and the use of traditional folk instrumentation blended with subtle electronic elements.
