Quatuor Molinari

Quatuor Molinari

Canadian String Quartet

Quatuor Molinari is a Canadian string quartet named after the 20th-century Italian composer Giacinto Scelsi's pseudonym, "R. M. G. Molinari." The ensemble was founded in 1997 by violinist Olga Ranzenhofer in Montreal, Quebec. The quartet has distinguished itself on the international stage as one of Canada's leading string quartets, with a particular focus on performing and promoting contemporary music. They have been recognized for their interpretation of the works of modern and contemporary composers, often engaging in collaborations with living artists to bring new compositions to life.
