Underground Hip-Hop Alter Ego

Quasimoto is an alter ego of hip-hop producer and MC Otis Jackson Jr., better known as Madlib. This character is known for its distinctive, high-pitched voice, which is achieved by Madlib recording his vocals at a slower speed and then playing them back at normal speed. Quasimoto first came onto the scene with the album "The Unseen" in 2000, which was well-received by critics for its innovative production and unique style. The follow-up album, "The Further Adventures Of Lord Quas," was released in 2005 and continued to build on the quirky, jazz-infused beats and eccentric lyricism that defined Quasimoto's sound. Madlib's work as Quasimoto has been influential in the underground hip-hop scene, showcasing his eclectic sampling and off-kilter approach to hip-hop production.
