Porter Band was a Polish rock band formed in 1979 by John Porter, an English-born musician who moved to Poland. The band's music was characterized by a blend of rock, blues, and new wave influences. John Porter, the frontman, was known for his distinctive voice and guitar skills. The group gained popularity in the early 1980s in Poland and had a significant impact on the Polish rock scene at the time. They released their debut album "Helicopters" in 1980, which included some of their most well-known tracks. Following the release of "Mobilization" in 1981, Porter Band continued to perform and record music, but they eventually disbanded.
