Polvo is an American indie rock band that formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 1990. The band is known for their complex guitar work, mathematical time signatures, and experimental noise. They are considered one of the key bands of the 1990s post-hardcore scene that merged punk and indie rock sounds with more experimental and avant-garde elements. Polvo's lineup originally consisted of Ash Bowie (vocals, guitar), Dave Brylawski (guitar), Steve Popson (bass), and Eddie Watkins (drums). They released their debut album "Cor-Crane Secret" in 1992, followed by "Today's Active Lifestyles" in 1993, which further established their reputation for intricate guitar melodies and unconventional song structures.
