Pete Philly & Perquisite

Pete Philly & Perquisite were a hip-hop duo from the Netherlands, consisting of vocalist Pete Philly (Pieter Monzon) and producer/arranger Perquisite (Pieter Perquin). They emerged in the early 2000s and quickly gained recognition for their unique blend of hip-hop, jazz, and soul. The duo released their debut album "Mindstate" in 2005, which was well-received for its innovative sound and thoughtful lyrics. They followed up with their second album "Mystery Repeats" in 2007, which further solidified their reputation in the European hip-hop scene. The title track from this album became one of their most popular songs. Despite their success and growing fanbase, Pete Philly & Perquisite decided to part ways in 2009 to pursue solo careers. Their collaboration was known for its musicality and the seamless integration of live instruments with hip-hop beats, setting them apart from many of their contemporaries.
