Passion Pit is an American indietronica band from Cambridge, Massachusetts, formed in 2007. The band centers around the singer-songwriter and producer Michael Angelakos, who is known for his distinctive falsetto and emotionally charged lyrics. Passion Pit's debut studio album, "Manners," was released in 2009 to critical acclaim, featuring the hit single "Sleepyhead" which helped them gain a substantial following. Their follow-up album, "Gossamer," came out in 2012 and included popular tracks like "Take a Walk" and "Carried Away."
