The Orchestre National de l'ORTF (Office de Radiodiffusion Télévision Française) was a French radio and television orchestra that played a significant role in the country's cultural landscape during its existence. Established in the 1930s as part of the national broadcasting network, it was reorganized under the ORTF in 1964. The orchestra was known for its performances and recordings of a wide range of repertoire, from classical to contemporary works. It collaborated with many distinguished conductors and soloists, both French and international, contributing to the dissemination of classical music through broadcast media. The ensemble had a reputation for its interpretations of French composers, as well as for championing lesser-known and modern pieces.
