Orchestra Mozart is an Italian chamber orchestra founded in 2004 by the renowned conductor Claudio Abbado. The ensemble is composed of a mix of young talents and seasoned professionals, and it quickly gained a reputation for its energetic and refined performances. The orchestra has a particular focus on the works of its namesake, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, but its repertoire extends to other classical masters as well. Under Abbado's leadership until his death in 2014, Orchestra Mozart collaborated with many distinguished soloists and has performed at prestigious venues across Europe. Their recordings, including interpretations of the Brandenburg Concertos and Mozart's Piano Concertos, have been well-received for their clarity, vivacity, and technical excellence. After a period of inactivity following Abbado's passing, the orchestra resumed concert activities, continuing to honor its mission of blending youthful enthusiasm with the wisdom of experience in the performance of classical music.
