Nicola Testa launched his solo career in 2006, when fellow musicians Loic B.O. and the Flexa Lyndo invited him to their “carte blanche” evening at the Royal Theatre of Namur. The very same year his single “Poetry” won the Pure Demo (Pure FM) contest, he also carried off many festivals for debut artists such as Inc’ rock and Octupus festival, and was qualified for the semi-finals of Concourt-Circuit. His success lead him on to perform a whole series of dates at festivals and concert halls (Autumn Rock, Atelier 210, Le Botanique, Verdur Rock…) The music of Nicola Testa is electro pop with a strong Eighties vibe running through. It is arty, it is theatrical and it is danceable. His music is said to be authentic, entrancing and sophisticated. A combination of synthetic and organic pop, piano, voice, electronic, wrapped up in stringed instruments and opera. Hif first EP calls « Wanderland » is released in June 2011. The delves into dance, rock, tribal and synthetic music. With this piece, Testa shifts us from the nightclub to Broadway theatre hall. In his creative process, he surrounds himself with many different artists, creating a visual and theatrical universe by mixing music, videos, lighting, fashion and dance. Described as a classy, poetic and spellbinding universe, it’s impossible to be unmoved.
