Nat Adderley was an accomplished American jazz cornet and trumpet player, best known for his work in the hard bop and soul jazz genres. Born on November 25, 1931, in Tampa, Florida, he was the younger brother of alto saxophonist Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, with whom he had a long-standing musical partnership. Nat Adderley's career spanned several decades, during which he became known for his distinctive, bluesy sound and his ability to blend seamlessly with ensembles.
