Mura Masa, the stage name of Alexander Crossan, is a British electronic music producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. Born on April 5, 1996, in Guernsey, he began his music career by posting tracks to SoundCloud as a teenager. Mura Masa's sound is known for its eclectic mix of various genres including electronic, R&B, hip-hop, and indie. His self-titled debut album was released in 2017 and featured collaborations with several artists such as A$AP Rocky and Charli XCX. The album was critically acclaimed and earned him two Grammy nominations, including one for Best Dance/Electronic Album.
