Born on January 17, 1949, in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, Taylor began his career as a member of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, where he replaced Peter Green in 1967 and played on the album "Crusade." His virtuosic guitar work caught the attention of The Rolling Stones, and he joined them at a pivotal moment in their career, contributing to classic albums such as "Sticky Fingers" and "Exile on Main St."
