Michel Plasson is a renowned French conductor, particularly noted for his interpretations of French orchestral music. Born on October 2, 1933, in Paris, he studied at the Paris Conservatoire and went on to win the prestigious Besançon Conducting Competition. Plasson is best known for his long tenure as the music director of the Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse from 1968 to 2003, where he helped raise the ensemble's profile to international acclaim.
