German Pianist and Accompanist

Michael Raucheisen (1889–1984) was a renowned German pianist, accompanist, and music director who made significant contributions to the world of classical music, particularly in the realm of Lieder (German art songs). He was born in Rain, Bavaria and displayed exceptional musical talent from a young age. Raucheisen's career as an accompanist took off in the 1920s and 1930s when he worked with some of the most distinguished singers of his time, including Elisabeth Schwarzkopf and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau.
