Míċeál O'Rourke

Míċeál O'Rourke

Irish Classical Pianist

Míċeál O'Rourke is an Irish classical pianist known for his interpretations of lesser-known piano repertoire as well as his performances of more mainstream works. He has a particular affinity for the music of John Field, an Irish composer, and pianist who is credited with originating the nocturne, a musical form later made famous by Chopin. O'Rourke has recorded extensively, and his discography includes works by Field, as well as compositions by other composers such as Muzio Clementi and Franz Joseph Haydn.
