Australian pianist & composer (b.: November 20, 1922, in Melbourne, Australia - d.: December 5, 1953, in London, UK) Went to London at age 14 to study at the Royal Academy of Music and later studied in Italy with Artur Schnabel. Debut in 1940 at a Queen's Hall concert by Sir Thomas Beecham. After that played with Britain's leading orchestras and made concert tours of various countries. His compositions include sonatas, a ballet suite, a string trio, a piano concerto, and incidental music for the film "The Tawny Pippit".
