Margo Guryan

Margo Guryan

Cult Classic 1960s Sunshine Pop Songwriter

Margo Guryan was an American singer-songwriter and musician known for her contributions to the sunshine pop genre of the 1960s. She gained recognition as a composer when her song "Sunday Mornin'" became a hit for the band Spanky and Our Gang. Despite her songwriting success, Guryan's own recording career was relatively brief. Her 1968 album "Take A Picture" blended airy vocals with Baroque pop and jazz influences, but it did not achieve commercial success at the time, largely due to her reluctance to perform live.
