Klose was particularly noted for her interpretations of Wagnerian roles, which would include parts in operas like "Die Walküre," where she could have performed as Fricka or other mezzo roles. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, she became a staple at major opera houses, including the Berlin State Opera.
