Experimental musician and media artist from Pistoia, Italy who works in sound research and video. Founder of Suite Inc., Suiteque and Sync (2) labels. Also member of Thema (Stefano Raffaelli (piano/livelectronics) + Marco Monfardini (video/livelectronics) From the mid 80’ies Marco Monfardini works as a media artist dedicating his skills and creativity to music and video.He launched the music projects MINOX, TECHNOPHONIC CHAMBER ORCHESTRA AND 4-D KILLER.Marco Monfardini collaborates with national and international artists of the scene as Steven Brown and Blaine Reininger of Tuxedomoon, Lydia Lynch, Nobukazu Takemura,The Gentle People, Krisma, Daedalus and Murcof.In the 90’ies he sets up the label SUITE INC. and SUITETEQUE – independent music labels which focus on the promotion and distribution of electronic music.In 2000 Marco creates his own single media project DRAMA which combines music, video and photography.Presently he is preparing Dramascope 4.0. This new edition is based on the visual memory.Marco Monfardini starts collaborating in 2006 with the german artist Fraeulein Amelie and they launch in 2007 their audio/video project SCHNITT.One of his actual projects is named CODEC, planned in the beginning as an installation developed to an impressive live act. The sonoric part will be transformed and amplified by 9 exponential trombes of the 40’ies – which interact with a special created video generator
