Lucifer's Friend was a German rock band that formed in the early 1970s, known for their heavy rock sound and progressive elements. The band originally consisted of John Lawton on vocals, Peter Hesslein on guitar, Dieter Horns on bass, Peter Hecht on keyboards, and Joachim Rietenbach on drums. They gained recognition with their self-titled debut album "Lucifer's Friend" in 1970, which showcased a mix of hard rock, heavy metal, and jazz influences. Throughout the decade, they released several albums that saw them experimenting with different musical styles, including the more progressive "Mind Exploding" in 1976.
