Lucero

Lucero

American Country-Punk Rock Band

Lucero is an American country-punk rock band that originated in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1998. The band's lineup consists of Ben Nichols (vocals/guitar), Brian Venable (guitar), Roy Berry (drums), John C. Stubblefield (bass), and Rick Steff (keyboard). They are known for their unique blend of heartland rock, country, punk, and soul influences. Lucero has built a dedicated fan base through relentless touring and a consistent output of albums that showcase their gritty, narrative-driven songwriting. Over the years, they have released several albums that have solidified their place in the alt-country and southern rock scenes. Their self-titled album "Lucero" was released in 2001 and helped establish their sound. "Tennessee," their third studio album released in 2002, is often celebrated for its raw storytelling and emotional depth. The band continued to evolve their sound with each subsequent release, including the album "When You Found Me," which came out in 2021, demonstrating their ability to adapt and grow while maintaining the core elements of their distinctive style.
