Belgian Dark Electro Project

LLUMEN was formed somewhere in the first decade of the 21st century, the original 3man band was brought back to a one man project in 2009. With LLUMEN, Pieter Coussement aims to bring multi-layered dark electronic music that is driven by pulsing beats, fast sequences and catchy melodies. Combining elements ranging from old-school EBM, gothic, techno, future pop and the likes, LLUMEN's music offers something new each time you hear it, and keeps you in its hold. In his music he pays tribute to bands like Front 242, Haujobb, Diorama, Assemblage 23, Suicide Commando and Covenant to name a few.   Four years after the debut album "The memory Institute", 2021 holds the release of the follow up album "Polygon Heart", more autobiographic than ever, the albums gives an inner view of the turmoil of the last few years, in which a serious health crisis forced a personal introspection which led to a new way of writing songs, being true to the new found self, while at the same time meticulously crafting layer upon layer of sounds into emotional driven dark electronic club songs.
