Les Discrets is a French band founded by Fursy Teyssier in 2003, who is the primary creative force behind the project, serving as the composer, singer, and guitarist. The band's music is often described as a blend of post-rock, shoegaze, and black metal elements, with an emphasis on atmospheric and cinematic soundscapes. Les Discrets' debut album "Septembre Et Ses Dernières Pensées" was released in 2010 to critical acclaim within the underground music community. The project is known for its artistic approach to music, with Teyssier also being a visual artist responsible for the band's album artwork and overall aesthetic. The collaboration album "Les Discrets - Arctic Plateau" saw them working with the Italian post-rock band Arctic Plateau, showcasing their ability to merge styles and collaborate with other artists. In 2012, Les Discrets released their second full-length album "Ariettes Oubliées...", which continued to build upon their ethereal and melancholic sound. The band has since maintained a devoted following and is recognized for its contributions to the post-metal genre.
