La Sera is an indie rock project fronted by Katy Goodman, who is also known for her work with the band Vivian Girls. La Sera's music is characterized by its dreamy, melodic soundscapes and often features themes of love and introspection. The project debuted in 2011 with a self-titled album that showcased Goodman's shift from the punk-influenced sounds of Vivian Girls to a softer, more ethereal approach. Following the debut, La Sera released several more albums, including "Sees The Light" in 2012, which continued to build on the project's distinct indie pop and rock sound. "Hour Of The Dawn" came out in 2014 and marked a slight departure towards a more upbeat and energetic style. In 2016, La Sera put out "Music For Listening To Music To," produced by Ryan Adams, which embraced a cleaner, more classic pop production. Throughout her career with La Sera, Katy Goodman has been praised for her songwriting and the project's evolution in sound across its discography.
