Julie Doiron

Canadian Indie Folk Singer-Songwriter

Julie Doiron is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Moncton, New Brunswick. She began her music career in the early 1990s as the bassist for the indie rock band Eric's Trip, which was the first Canadian band signed to the influential Seattle-based label Sub Pop. After the group disbanded in 1996, Doiron embarked on a solo career, earning critical acclaim for her introspective lyrics and emotive folk-inflected indie rock.
