Jean-Jacques Perrey

French electronic music pioneer

Jean-Jacques Perrey was a French electronic music producer and an early pioneer in the genre. Born on January 20, 1929, he was known for his work with the Moog synthesizer and for being one of the first musicians to focus on electronic music within the realm of pop. Perrey's career spanned several decades, during which he collaborated with artists like Gershon Kingsley, with whom he formed the duo Perrey and Kingsley. Together, they released the influential album "The In Sound from Way Out!" in 1966.
