Canadian Classical Pianist

Janina Fialkowska is a renowned classical pianist of Polish and Canadian heritage, celebrated for her interpretations of the works of Chopin and Liszt. Born on May 7, 1951, in Montreal, Canada, she began her piano studies at an early age and later studied under the tutelage of eminent pianists such as Sascha Gorodnitzki and Arthur Rubinstein. Fialkowska's career was launched after winning the inaugural Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in 1974, which led to her debut with the New York Philharmonic under the baton of Zubin Mehta.
