Jakob Lindberg is a renowned Swedish lutenist, known for his expertise in performing music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. Born in 1952, he began his studies on the guitar but later shifted his focus to the lute under the tutelage of Diana Poulton at the Royal College of Music in London. Lindberg has had a prolific recording career, with a discography that includes a wide range of solo works for lute, theorbo, and baroque guitar. He has also collaborated with numerous ensembles and vocalists, exploring both well-known compositions and lesser-known works from the 16th and 17th centuries.
