Jaan-Eik Tulve

Estonian Choral Conductor and Ensemble Leader

Jaan-Eik Tulve is an Estonian conductor and musician, renowned for his expertise in Gregorian chant and early music. He has been a significant figure in the revival of these ancient musical traditions within Estonia and beyond. Tulve studied Gregorian chant at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, which deeply influenced his musical trajectory. In 1996, he founded Vox Clamantis, a vocal ensemble that has gained international acclaim for its performances and recordings of Gregorian chant and early polyphony, as well as contemporary music that is often inspired by these traditions.
