Isobel Campbell is a Scottish singer-songwriter, cellist, and composer who first gained prominence as a member of the indie pop band Belle & Sebastian. After leaving the band in 2002, she embarked on a solo career and has since released several albums. Her music often blends elements of folk, indie pop, and chamber pop. Campbell is also known for her collaborations with other artists, most notably with former Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan on three critically acclaimed albums: "Ballad of the Broken Seas," "Sunday at Devil Dirt," and "Hawk." Her solo work includes the albums "Amorino" (2003) and "Milkwhite Sheets" (2006), which showcase her ethereal vocals and intricate arrangements. In 2020, she released the album "There Is No Other..." after a lengthy hiatus, marking her return to the music scene with new material that continues to explore her distinctive sound.
