Infectious Grooves

Infectious Grooves

Funk Metal Pioneers

Infectious Grooves is a funk metal band that was formed in 1989 by Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir. The band's lineup has included several notable musicians over the years, including bassist Robert Trujillo, who later joined Metallica. Infectious Grooves is known for its fusion of heavy metal and funk, as well as its humorous and satirical lyrics. They released their debut album "The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move...It's the Infectious Grooves" in 1991, which was followed by several more albums throughout the 1990s. Their style is characterized by groovy bass lines and catchy riffs, and they have maintained a cult following within the alternative metal scene. The band went on hiatus for a period but has reunited occasionally for live performances.
