Danish symphonic black metal band

Illnath was a Danish symphonic black metal band that formed in 1997. The band's music is characterized by a blend of black metal elements with melodic symphonic arrangements, creating a distinctive sound within the metal genre. Throughout their career, Illnath went through several lineup changes but was initially founded by guitarist Peter Falk. They released a number of albums and EPs, including "Cast Into Fields of Evil Pleasure" in 2003 and "Second Skin of Harlequin" in 2006. Despite never gaining mainstream success, Illnath garnered a following within the black metal community for their intricate compositions and dark thematic content. The band announced their disbandment in 2013, with "4 Shades of Me" being one of their final studio albums, released in that same year. Illnath's contribution to the symphonic black metal scene remains appreciated by fans of the genre for its aggressive yet melodic approach to music.
