High Tide

High Tide

Rising Reggae Fusion Group

High Tide was a British rock band, formed in 1969, that is often recognized for their heavy and progressive style of music. The band consisted of Tony Hill on guitar and vocals, Simon House on violin and keyboards, Peter Pavli on bass guitar, and Roger Hadden on drums. They were known for their innovative sound that combined elements of hard rock with progressive rock and folk influences. High Tide's debut album "Sea Shanties," released in 1969, is considered a classic in the underground rock scene and is notable for its aggressive guitar work and early use of electric violin. Despite their initial promise and the critical acclaim for their work, High Tide struggled to achieve mainstream success. They released a second album, "High Tide," in 1970 but disbanded shortly afterward due to commercial pressures and internal disagreements. Their music has since gained a cult following among fans of the progressive and psychedelic rock genres.
