Hi Rhythm, also known as the Hi Rhythm Section, is a renowned American soul music group that served as the house band for Hi Records in Memphis, Tennessee, during the 1970s. They played a significant role in shaping the sound of Memphis soul music and are best known for their work with influential soul singer Al Green. The band included the Hodges brothers—teens Leroy on bass, Charles on organ, and Mabon "Teenie" on guitar—along with drummer Howard Grimes. Together, they provided the instrumental backing for numerous classic soul recordings, working with producers like Willie Mitchell and contributing to the success of artists such as Ann Peebles and O.V. Wright.
