Henryk Sztompka

Henryk Sztompka

Henryk Sztompka was a renowned Polish pianist, particularly known for his interpretations of Frédéric Chopin's works. Born on May 14, 1901, in Kraków, Poland, he developed a deep connection with Chopin's music early in his career. Sztompka studied piano at the Warsaw Conservatory under Aleksander Michałowski, who himself was a student of Carl Mikuli, Chopin's pupil. This lineage provided Sztompka with a direct link to the composer's tradition and style.
