Belgian Experimental Composer and Electronic Music Pioneer

Henri Pousseur was a Belgian composer, born on June 23, 1929, and a notable figure in the field of avant-garde music. His work is often associated with the post-World War II modernist movement, and he was particularly active in the development of electronic and serial music. Pousseur studied at the Academies of Music in Liège and in Brussels and was influenced by Pierre Boulez, Karlheinz Stockhausen, and Luciano Berio, with whom he collaborated.
