Scottish black/speed metal solo project

Hellripper is a Scottish one-man black/speed metal project founded by James McBain in 2014. Based in Aberdeen, Scotland, Hellripper has become known for its energetic blend of black metal and old-school thrash, drawing influence from the likes of Venom, Metallica, and Motörhead. Despite being a solo project, McBain has managed to produce a prolific output, with a number of EPs and full-length albums to his name. Hellripper's music is characterized by its fast tempos, aggressive guitar riffs, and raw production quality, which pays homage to the early days of the extreme metal scene. The project has gained a reputation for its DIY ethic and has garnered a following within the underground metal community. Live performances often feature additional musicians to bring Hellripper's ferocious sound to the stage.
