Jazz Saxophonist and Flutist

Harold Vick was an American hard bop and soul jazz saxophonist and flautist. Born on April 3, 1936, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, Vick made a significant impact on the jazz scene during his career. He began playing the piano at the age of 13 before switching to the saxophone. After moving to New York City in the late 1950s, Vick quickly became an active member of the jazz community, playing with prominent musicians such as Jack McDuff, Jimmy Smith, and Grant Green.
