Hard Meat

Hard Meat

British Progressive Rock Trio

Hard Meat was a British progressive rock band formed in Birmingham in the late 1960s. The group consisted of brothers Michael Dolan (guitar and vocals) and Steve Dolan (bass), along with drummer Mick Carless. Their music style combined elements of folk, blues, and rock, with an emphasis on vocal harmonies and intricate guitar work. Hard Meat released two albums during their brief career: their self-titled debut "Hard Meat" in 1970, followed by "Through a Window" later the same year. Despite their potential and musicianship, the band did not achieve significant commercial success and disbanded in the early 1970s. Their work has since been appreciated by aficionados of the era's underground rock scene, and their recordings have been reissued for contemporary audiences interested in that period's musical history.
