Glenn Frey

Glenn Frey

Eagles Co-Founder and Rock Icon

Glenn Frey was an American singer, songwriter, actor, and founding member of the rock band the Eagles. Frey played guitar and keyboards as well as providing vocals for the band. He co-wrote and sang lead on many Eagles hits, including "Take It Easy," "Peaceful Easy Feeling," "Tequila Sunrise," "Already Gone," "Lyin' Eyes," "New Kid in Town," and "Heartache Tonight." After the Eagles disbanded in 1980, Frey embarked on a successful solo career, releasing albums such as "No Fun Aloud" (1982) and "The Allnighter" (1984). He scored hits with songs like "The Heat Is On" and "You Belong to the City." The Eagles reunited in 1994, and Frey continued to record and perform with them until his death in 2016. Frey's contributions to music earned him six Grammy Awards and induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Eagles.
