Girl was a British glam metal band that formed in the late 1970s. The band was known for its blend of hard rock and glam elements, which was somewhat ahead of its time, anticipating the glam metal explosion of the 1980s. Girl's lineup included Phil Collen, who later joined Def Leppard, and singer Phil Lewis, who went on to front L.A. Guns. Despite their potential and talent, Girl never achieved significant commercial success. They released two studio albums, "Sheer Greed" in 1980 and "Wasted Youth" in 1982. After disbanding in the early 1980s, members went on to find success with other groups, but Girl remains a cult favorite among fans of the genre for their pioneering sound and style.
