Genghis Tron is an American experimental metal band formed in Poughkeepsie, New York, in 2004. The band is known for its unique blend of metal, grindcore, and electronic music. The members include Mookie Singerman (vocals, keyboards), Hamilton Jordan (guitars, programming), and Michael Sochynsky (keyboards, programming). They gained recognition in the underground metal scene with their debut album "Dead Mountain Mouth," released in 2006. Following this, they released "Board Up The House" in 2008, which further cemented their reputation for innovative compositions and complex arrangements. After a hiatus, Genghis Tron returned with their third studio album "Dream Weapon" in 2021, showcasing a shift towards a more atmospheric and less abrasive sound. Throughout their career, Genghis Tron has been noted for pushing the boundaries of heavy music by incorporating electronic elements and unconventional song structures.
