Baroque Italian Composer and Violinist

Francesco Geminiani was an Italian composer, violinist, teacher, and art dealer who made significant contributions to the music of the Baroque period. Born on December 5, 1687, in Lucca, Italy, he was a student of the famous violinist Arcangelo Corelli. Geminiani's career flourished when he moved to London in 1714, where he gained fame both as a performer and as a composer.
