Fischer-Z

Fischer-Z

British New Wave Band

Fischer-Z is a British rock band formed in 1976 by John Watts (vocals, guitar) and Steve Skolnik (keyboards). The band's name is derived from a term used in statistics ("Fisher's z"), reflecting Watts' background in clinical psychology and statistics. Fischer-Z quickly gained a reputation for their sharp, political lyrics and new wave sound, which was particularly prominent during the post-punk era.
