Federigo Fiorillo

Federigo Fiorillo

Classical Composer and Violinist of the 18th Century

Federigo Fiorillo (1755 – c.1823) was an Italian composer and violinist of the classical era. Although not as widely known as some of his contemporaries, Fiorillo made significant contributions to the music of his time, particularly through his chamber music and orchestral works. He is perhaps best remembered for his 36 Caprices for solo violin, which are still valued for their technical demands and musicality, often being compared to the caprices of Paganini.
